Stewart Alexander was born on October 1, 1951 in Virginia. He was defeated by Democrat John Garamendi (and others) in the 2006 campaign for Lieutenant Governor of California. After serving in the United States Air Force Reserve and working as a grocery clerk, he relocated from his native Virginia to the west coast to attend California State University, Dominguez Hills.
