He helped lead the club to the 1990 Campeonato Brazil title and subsequently turned to soccer broadcasting for Rede Bandeirantes following his 1999 retirement. Craque Neto was born on September 9, 1966, in Brazil. He played against Diego Maradona at the 1990 World Cup. He played his youth soccer for Ponte Preta and Guarani between 1979-1983.
