Xavier Woods: Birth, Career & Education

Xavier Woods is a ring name, not his real name. It is his fifth ring name; the others are Austin Creed, Consequences Creed, and Rasheed Lucius Creed.

A year after graduating from Sprayberry High School, Watson made his professional wrestling debut in 2005. He began with NWA Anarchy and went by the alias Austin Creed, which was inspired by the Rocky series character Apollo Creed.

Watson joined TNA in 2007 after two years with NWA Anarchy under the ring name Consequences Creed.

In TNA, he teamed up with R.Truth (real name Ron Killings) to form the team Truth and Consequences.

After leaving TNA in 2010, he briefly wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling before joining the WWE in July 2010. Watson used his real name as his ring name in the WWE before adopting Xavier Woods.

Following a period of little to no success with his former TNA partner R.Truth, Woods joined another unsuccessful tag team of Kofi Kingston and Big E to form The New Day in 2014, and it wasn’t long before they became a fan favorite and revolutionized tag team wrestling.

Most WWE wrestlers are high school or college dropouts, but Austin Watson is not your typical WWE wrestler. Despite his intense wrestling schedule, Watson managed to complete not one, but two college degrees.

He graduated from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s and master’s degree. Watson also holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the online university Capella University.

Austin Watson told the that he hopes his focus on academics will inspire young children to stay in school.

Xavier Woods: Relationship Status

Much is known about WWE’s Xavier Woods and Austin Watson’s educational background, but the same cannot be said about his personal life, which he keeps completely private.

Woods has been married to a woman named Jess Watson since October of last year. After a brief hiatus from the WWE, he revealed that the reason for his absence was to marry Jess.

The couple has kept their relationship private, and the public has done a good job of respecting their privacy, until March 2017, when lewd photos and videos of him and fellow WWE superstar Paige were leaked online. Woods was photographed having sex with Paige while another WWE star, Brad Maddox, acted as the cameraman.

Fans were concerned not only about his WWE future but also about the impact the video would have on his marriage to Jess Watson. The video, however, may have had little impact on his marriage because it was created prior to his marriage and/or relationship with Jess.

Also, it could have happened while Brad Maddox was still with the WWE, which means it could have happened before November 2015, when he was fired. However, these are just rumors, and the world may never know how the leak affected his marriage.

While it is unclear how deeply the leak affected Woods, it was disastrous for Paige, who admitted that the leak caused her to become suicidal and hospitalized due to “stress-induced anorexia.”

Woods’ wife, Jess Watson, announced in December 2016 via her now-deleted Instagram account that she was pregnant and that their child, of which Woods is the father, would be born in May 2017.
