Jim was asked to attend a presentation by John Earl Shoaff by a close friend while working as a human resource manager in a department store.

Jim was greatly motivated by John’s statements, and as a result, he became a distributor for AbundantVita in 1955.

After quitting his job in 1957, Jim joined Nutri-Bio and was mentored by Shoaff, who assisted him in forming an internal organization.

Nutri-Bio expanded its services to Canada in 1960, and Rohn was named Vice President.

Rohn was once requested to deliver a speech at his Rotary club, and the people who listened to him were immensely impressed, and he was invited to speak at a number of similar events.

His motivating talks and tales were highly received, making Rohn one of the top speakers in the United States.
