Persia chose to relocate to Los Angeles in order to pursue her acting career. In 1994, she made her film debut in Blue Chips. In 1996, she appeared on the television show NYPD Blue, Malibu Shores, Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Good Behavior, and Suddenly.
The same year, she appeared in the film Frankie D. She has appeared in more than 42 TV shows and films.
