Singer-songwriter who is widely known for her time as part of the pop-folk duo The Weepies. She formed the group with Steve Tannen in 2001 after being a fan of his solo work, and in 2015, had their fifth studio album Sirens released while she battled breast cancer. Deb Talan was born on January 27, 1968 in Massachusetts. She collaborated with Mandy Moore on her 2007 album Wild Hope, on which she wrote and provided back-up vocals for various tracks. She graduated from Brown University where she was a member of the US’ oldest female acapella troupe The Chattercocks. She then moved to Portland, Oregon where she began her music career.
