Bob Mabena- Professional Career
Koos Radebe, the manager of Radio Metro, hired him for the national radio station, where he hosted a range of television series such as Pick a Tune and Studio Mix.
In 1996, he joined the management team of 94.7 FM as a mid-morning host.
Kaya FM hired him as a program manager and morning show host in 1999.
He was promoted to the position of Primedia Group business development manager, which he held for two and a half years.
From 2007 until 2009, he worked for SABC as the executive manager of commercial radio stations, where he was in charge of Metro FM, 5FM, and GoodHope FM.
Bob returned to Kaya FM as a breakfast show host, and as the head of MRC Radio, he was tasked with controlling Gagasi FM and Heart FM.
While still working for KAYA FM, Bob founded EndowMedia, a radio consulting firm.
Between 2014 and 2015, Bob worked with the firm to coach hundreds of aspiring radio and television personalities in speech and attitude anchoring.
In 2017, he resigned from KAYA FM’s morning show 180, and MSG hired him to oversee the programming of its radio stations.
