J. launched his musical career with Bad Boy Records’ “Hitmen” in the 1990s.

He worked on many Bad Boy projects with label owner Sean Combs. He produced their song “Only You,” which featured The Notorious B.I.G.

J. also produced a number of songs for Notorious B.I.G.’s album “Life After Death,” including “Nasty Boy,” “Mo Money Mo Problems,” “Notorious Thugs,” “You’re Nobody,” “Another,” and “Last Day,” to name a few. All of these activities brought him fame and acclaim.

J. worked on the production of the song “I’ll Be Missing You” in 1997.

At the time, he also produced tracks for Mariah Carey’s album “Butterfly,” including “Honey,” “Breakdown,” “Babydoll,” and “Breakdown.”

In 1997, three Stevie-produced songs topped the Billboard Hot 100: “Honey,” “Mo Money Mo Problems,” and “I’ll Be Missing You.” That same year, he won a “Grammy Award” for his work on Puff Daddy’s album “No Way Out.”

J co-wrote the song “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” for the rapper “Eve” in 2001. He also became a member of the New York-based record label and music collective known as “Swing Mob.”

In 2012, he appeared on the reality show “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” with his wife, Joseline Hernandez, and his then-girlfriend, Mimi Faust.
