Cruz’s ex-girlfriend Meghan Burke arrived at his 175th Street apartment in Washington Heights, Manhattan, around 5 p.m. on a Tuesday to pick up some of her belongings that she had left before their breakup.

Cruz allegedly jumped on her, threw her onto a bed, and pinned her there from behind in a chokehold that nearly caused her to pass out when she got inside.

According to sources, Meghan attempted to flee, but Cruz bit her on the hand. Cruz bit her leg again when she tried to flee.

When the cops arrived at the apartment after receiving the call, they discovered Cruz and Meghan had vanished. Meghan, on the other hand, contacted the police on Staten Island after returning home.

He was arrested and taken to court, where he was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, a misdemeanor assault. After biting Meghan, he was also charged with domestic violence.

He admitted to Judge Phyllis Chu in court that he tried to harm Burke by biting her and pushing her to the ground. At the time of Cruz’s plea, a restraining order was issued in Meghan’s favor.

If he fails to meet the terms of his agreement, he faces six months in prison.
