But Bexler quickly left. At the time, Andrew was in contact with their manager, Adam, who notified him of the open position in lieu of Rhett Bexler.
Andrew was living in Maine at the time, but his enthusiasm for DJing compelled him to travel to New York to join the Chainsmokers.
Alex and Andrew got along brilliantly and collaborated on some excellent tracks.
