Anthony Kied: Birth, Parents, Siblings & Education

Anthony Kiedis is an American rock singer, composer, and the main vocalist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

On November 1, 1962, he was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan parents John Micheal Kiedis and Margaret Noble.

From his stepmother, he has three siblings called Julie, Jenny, and James Kiedis.

His parents separated when he was three years old, and he lived with his mother in Michigan until 1974, when he went to Los Angeles to live with his father.

His father earned a living by selling narcotics and also performed some film acting.

Kiedis graduated from Fairfax High School and went on to the University of California.

He was exposed to the harsh side of life while in college, and he became hooked on cocaine, heroin, and quaaludes, which caused him to drop out.

Anthony Kiedis: Professional Career

Anthony Kied formed the rock band “Red Hot Chili Peppers” in 1983.

He formed the band with his pals Hillel Slovak, Micheal Balzore, better known as Flea, and Jack Irons, despite the fact that they were already in other bands.

Later, when Slovak and Irons departed to join their other band, which had secured a record contract, the group went through a line-up change.

Kiedis and Flea did not give up on their goal, so they hired a guitarist, Jack Sherman, and a drummer, Cliff Martinez. The band was ultimately dubbed the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ first album was titled “Red Hot Chili Peppers.” EMI Records published the album in August 1984.

Despite the fact that the band did not earn a lot of money from record sales, many people began to follow them.

Their second album, “Freaky Styles,” was released the year after the first, and this time, Slovak and Irons rejoined the band after Sherman and Martinez were dismissed. The second album did not do any better.

In 1987, the Red Hot Chili Peppers released their third album, “The Uplift Mofo Party Plan,” which reached the Billboard 200 album rankings.

Slovak, Kiedis’s buddy, and bandmate died of a heroin overdose on June 25, 1988, just as success was starting to dribble in.

Following the incident, Irons quit the band, and Kiedis entered a rehabilitation facility.

They attempted to reassemble after some time had elapsed. Kiedis and Flea brought in guitarist Blackbyrd McKnight and drummer D.H. Peligro, but when the addition did not appear to be working, they recoiled and took a different path, bringing in guitarist John Frusciante and drummer Chad Smith, with whom they recorded “Mothers Milk.”

This worked well for them, as they began to get more followers and media attention.

Anthony Kiedis and the Red Hot Chili Peppers rose to prominence with their fifth album, “Blood Sugar Sex Magik.” Warner Bros. produced it.

The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and has since sold more than 13 million copies worldwide.

The singles “Under The Bridge,” “Give It Away,” and “Suck My Kiss” were included.

Their sixth album, “One Hot Minute,” was released in September 1995. In 1999, “Californication” was released on June 8.

By the Way (2002), Stadium Arcadium (2006), I’m with You (2011), and The Getaway (2012) is the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ other albums (2016).
