Later, she formed the band Sleater-Kinney with Corin Tucker.

She also toured with Corin’s band Heavens to Betsy during the time. 

However, Excuse 17 and Heavens to Betsy split, and Carrie and Corin were both preoccupied with Sleater-Kinney.

They recorded their debut self-titled album in early 1994. Six albums later, the pair debuted. 

No Cities to Love, the band’s second album, was released on January 20, 2015.

In addition, the veteran singer reunited with former Helium guitarist/singer Mary Timony on The Age of Backwards E.P., which was published in 1999.

She has also conducted interviews with Mary Lynn Rajskub, Karen O, and Cheryl Hines for The Believer magazine.
