Christian Jaros was born on April 2, 1996, in Kosice, Slovakia. His nationality is Slovak, and he is of European descent.

Jaros began his professional ice hockey career in the 2010-11 season, playing for HC Kosice U18 in Slovakia U18 and HK Trebisov U18 in Slovakia U18 2. He appeared in two games for the former and five for the latter.

Jaros stayed with HC Kosice U18 in Slovakia U18 for the next two seasons, appearing in 38 and 15 games in the previous and latter seasons, respectively.

During the 2014–15 Swedish Hockey League season, Jaros made his SHL debut with Lule HF. That season, he appeared in sixteen J18 Elit games, eighteen J18 Allsvenskan games, and three SuperElit games for the team. The following season, he played in SuperElit for Lule HF J20, Champions HL and SHL for Lule HF, and Allsvenskan for Asplöven HC.

In the 2015-16 season, he maintained the same format. The Ottawa Senators selected Jaros 139th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. In the 2016-17 season, he played 36 games for Lule HF in the SHL and 36 games for Champions HL (four games).
