Christian Vázquez- Professional Career

Christian entered the 2008 MLB draft and was selected in the ninth round by the Boston Red Sox. His first professional team was the Gulf Coast Red Sox of the rookie league, where he batted 21 for 94 and earned.223 in 31 games.

He spent two seasons with the Class A Greenville Drive, hitting.263 with three home runs in 79 games in 2010 and.283 with 18 home runs and 84 RBIs in 105 games in 2011. He appeared in 96 games for Double-A Portland and one game for Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox in 2013.

In his first 62 games for Triple-A Pawtucket the following year, he slashed. On July 9th, he was replaced on the roster due to his promotion to the Major Leagues. Later, he played against the Chicago White Sox, Houston Astros, Tampa Bay Rays, and other teams.

He returned to the Red Sox as the team’s primary catcher in 2021. He has been a member of the American League Division Series in 2021.
