Net Worth and Salary of Clint Walker

His net worth is estimated to be over $4 million, making him not the wealthiest cowboy, but certainly one of the most well-known.

He now sits at home, happily enjoying the rewards of his lengthy profession.

He dropped out of school to work in a factory, then joined the US Navy as a Marine Merchant during World War II’s final months, when he was just 17 years old.

He worked in a variety of occupations in Texas, Nevada, and California after leaving the military. There is no information about the family.

Professional Career of Clint Walker

Walker began his acting career as a client of Henry Willison, who gave him the pseudonym “Jett Norman” and cast him in the film “Bowery Boys.”

Cecil DeMille later engaged him for an appearance in “The Ten Commandments” in Los Angeles.

Because Warner Brothers Studios was making western TV programs at the time, this was enough for them to recognize his potential.

Walker’s attractive looks helped him land the lead part in the TV series “Cheyenne” in June 1955, in which he played Cheyenne Bodie, a heroic traveling cowboy in the post-American civil war era.

That role let him showcase his magnetism, and he became a TV western icon as a result.

Warner Brothers cast him in the lead part in “Fort Dobbs” in 1958, and then in the lead role in “Yellowstone Kelly” in 1959.

Walker also guest-starred in the TV programs “Maverick” and “77 Sunset Strip,” and his “Cheyenne” episodes were turned into feature pictures.

In 1961, Warner Brothers offered Walker a third chance with “Gold of the Seven Saints,” in which he co-starred Roger Moore, who also had a Warner Brothers contract. In 1963, “Cheyenne” came to an end.

Walker performed in Kraft Suspense Theatre in 1964, and Frank Sinatra cast him in the war drama “None But the Brave” in 1965, the only film Sinatra directed.

Walker also fought a grizzly bear in “The Night of the Grizzly” in 1966, but it was his part as a convict, Samson Posey, in the military drama film “The Dirty Dozen” in 1967 that catapulted him to stardom.

In 1969, he returned to Westerns with the film “More Dead Than Alive.”

During 1969, he also had supporting roles in the Western comedies “Sam Whiskey” and “The Great Bank Robbery.”

He portrayed various characters in “Phynx” in the 1970s, and appeared in the film “Yuma” in 1971, followed by roles in “Hardcase” and “The Bounty Man” in 1972.

Walker next appeared in “Pancho Villa” with Telly Savalas in 1972, as well as several more TV programs in the 1970s, including “Baker’s Hawk” in 1976, “Snowbeast” in 1977, and “The White Buffalo” in 1977.

In 1977, he appeared in the Canadian film “Deadly Harvest,” and in 1979, he played a supporting role in “Mysterious Island of Beautiful Women.”

Walker had roles in “Hysterical” in 1983, “The Love Boat” in 1985, and “The Serpent Warriors” in 1985, all in the 1980s.

In 1985, he appeared in another film, “The All American Cowboy,” in which he had a pivotal role.

In 1991, he appeared in “The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw,” and in 1998, he appeared in “Kung Fu: The Legend Continues.”

Clint Walker was awarded the “Golden Boot” in 1997. In 2004, he was inducted into the “Hall of Great Western Performers” at the “National Cowboy & Western Heritage” museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, as a great Western performer.

He was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 1505 Vine Street, near the intersection with Sunset Boulevard.

Relationship Status of Clint Walker

He married Verna Garver in 1948, but the couple divorced in 1968 after producing a daughter, Valerie, in 1950, who went on to become one of the first female airline pilots.

Walker married for the second time in 1974, to Giselle Hennessy, who died 20 years later in 1994.

Walker, on the other hand, was determined to keep his love life intact. He married Susan Cavallari in 1997, and the two finally settled in Grass Valley, California.

He survived a skiing accident in Mammoth Mountain, California in May 1971, when he fell from a ski elevator and was pierced through the heart by a ski pole.

Hospital officials pronounced him dead, but the doctor noticed faint signs of life and rushed him to the operating theater, where he was successfully operated on.

Walker was back on the job just two months later, filming in Spain.

He appeared in almost 40 films and television programs throughout the course of his long career, the majority of which were westerns.
