Shin Hyo-seob, better known as Crush, was born in Seoul on May 3, 1992. He grew up listening to black music and dreamed of being a musician.

He started making music with a friend during his first year of middle school and submitting demos to Amoeba Culture, the group’s record label.

He received his education at Hoseo University, where he graduated from the Department of Practical Music.

Professional Career

Crush released the single “Red Dress” with TakeOne on December 7, 2012. On Loco’s single “No More,” he contributed to his first album as a record producer and guest artist. With Taewan and Gary, he released the singles “Crush on You” and “Where Do You Wanna Go” the following year.

He signed an exclusive deal with Amoeba Culture in July 2013. On April 1, 2014, he made his official debut with the single “Sometimes.” His debut album, Crush on You, was released on June 5, 2014. For the single “Hug Me,” he collaborated with Gaeko.

He sang “Sleepless Night” for the SBS television drama It’s Okay, That’s Love’s OST in August. In October, he released the song “Sofa.” In 2015, he worked with Zion.T on the single “Just.” The song was released on January 30, 2015, and it debuted at number one on the Gaon Singles Chart.

At the 17th Mnet Asian Music Awards, they were also named Best Collaboration & Unit. He released the single “Oasis” in July, featuring Block B’s Zico. From November 13 to 14, he performed his first solo concert, Crush on You.

In January 2016, it was reported that he will release a new single with Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation.
