People are looking for additional information about Tyler Lawrence’s death because Tyler Lawrence was a 13-year-old Norwood boy who was shot and died. On January 29, shortly before noon, a crime occurred in the Mattapan neighborhood near the intersection of Fremont and Babson Streets.

Lawrence went to Coakley Middle School, according to Norwood Public Schools.

The prosecutor, Julie Higgins, testified about a video that showed the teen’s dying seconds.

Lawrence was shot five times, including once in the cranium, according to Higgins.

Tyler, a Norwood native, was visiting his grandparents in Mattapan on January 29 when he was shot many times while out for a walk.

Police located five shell casings beside the teen’s body.

Tyler Lawrence’s Death: Csean Skerritt’s Criminal Record

Skerritt has a significant criminal history extending back more than 10 years.

According to court documents reviewed by the Boston Globe, he was found guilty of assault and violence on a member of the public team twice, once in Plymouth District Court in 2008 and again in Boston Municipal Court in 2011.

Skerritt pled guilty in Suffolk Superior Court that same year to charges of possessing a weapon without a license, earning him a three-year state prison sentence, according to the Globe.

Skerritt was found not guilty of first-degree murder and possession of a handgun in 2014, after shooting Julien Printemps in Dorchester, by a Suffolk Superior Court jury in 2017.

The guys were “affiliated with rival groups,” according to a 2015 news release from the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Skerritt was charged with distributing fentanyl earlier this month and appeared in federal court before it was announced that he would face charges in Tyler’s murder.

Unfortunately, no additional information about Csean Skerritt was discovered because the issue is still sensitive, and officials have not published many specifics about the case at the time of writing this piece.

Csean Skerritt was arrested and charged with murder in the death of Tyler Lawrence.

Skerritt was arraigned on Friday and charged with the murder of Tyler Lawrence, being an armed career criminal level III, and several ammunition and guns charges.

Csean Skerritt, 34, is accused of first-degree murder and using weapons in connection with the boy’s death, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden during a news conference on Monday.

Skerritt was arrested on Sunday and charged with breaching federal law by distributing fentanyl.

He was described as a gang member linked with the Morse Street gang in a news release issued by the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts.

Skerritt and the child have no relationship, according to Kevin Hayden.

According to the authorities, Lawrence was the victim of a premeditated assault rather than a random shooting.

Hayden said Skerritt would be arraigned on the new murder and weapons counts “as soon as practically possible” after Skerritt appeared in federal court on Monday afternoon.

Skerritt has a significant criminal record, including convictions for assault, battery, and possession of a firearm.

Skerritt was likewise exonerated of all murder-related allegations in 2017.

He appeared in federal court last week on a charge of distributing fentanyl.

The reason for the murder is still being investigated. Remy Lawrence, Tyler’s mother, said in a statement later that day that her family was “relieved and grateful” to see police and prosecutors start bringing Tyler to justice.

Tyler’s family has also not shared anything about Tyler Lawrence’s death because they are going through a difficult period, and we must respect their wishes for privacy and sympathy.
