Daniela Andrade was born on August 15, 1992, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Although she was born in Canada, her parents are from Honduras, so she is of Honduran descent.

Andrade is the youngest of her parents’ three children. She has two older brothers and two older sisters

. Because the singing sensation has been careful not to reveal her family members’ identities online, the names of her parents and siblings are unknown.

Coming from a musical family, singing comes almost naturally to her. According to Daniela, she grew up surrounded by singers; aside from her mother, who was not a great singer, her three older siblings all sing beautifully, and her father was a choir director who taught her to sing harmonies at a young age.

Daniela Andrade claims that discovering a community of songwriters and singers on YouTube inspired her to launch her own YouTube channel, DanielaSings, in March 2008.

Her initial goal was simply to build an audience of listeners by uploading and sharing videos on which people could comment, and the reception and responses she received encouraged her to do more.

In October, she released her first video, a cover of Terra Naomi’s “Say It’s Possible,” which was followed by other achingly lonely and acoustic renditions of songs such as’s Hotline Bling, Radiohead’s Creep, Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy, and many others.

These increased her video viewership, which now stands at over 254 million, as well as her subscriber base, which now stands at over 1.6 million.

With over 35 million views, the La Vie En Rose video is the most viewed video on the channel to date. The music sensation is not only well-known on YouTube, but also on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, where she has a sizable fan base.

Daniela Andrade released her debut EP Things We’ve Said in 2012, after about four years of uploading covers and originals on her channel, and in the summer of 2016, she released a visual EP of original material – Shore, which consists of four heartfelt songs about the fall-out of love despite best intentions.
