Media, a publication company, and has received several awards from the United Nations Correspondents Association. David Pope was born on January 31, 1965 in Australia. He gained international attention for his “He Drew First” cartoon after the 2015 Charlie Hebdo shootings. Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop later presented a print of the cartoon, signed by Pope, to the French magazine.
