Diane Neal had always wanted to be an actress. This was evident when she attended the Atlantic Acting School (part of the Atlantic Theatre Company) in New York for a six-week acting course to hone her skills.

Her first notable role as an actress was Vanessa in the 2001 YV film ED. The following year, Neal made her acting debut as Prudence Fisher in an episode of the TV film Fling.

She persisted in pursuing her dream, and she eventually made her big screen debut as Cleopatra in Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra (2002).

As Elizabeth Blaine, she also appeared in the short film Dracula II: Ascension 2003.

Neal’s biggest break came when she landed the role of Casey Novak in the award-winning television series “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” from 2003 to 2008.

She then returned to the role in 2011 until 2012, when it was reprised.

Before playing Casey Novak on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” the actress appeared in Season 3, Episode 10 of the show as a woman who gang-raped a male stripper with her female friends.
