Earl Hindman was an American film and television actor best remembered for his role as Wilson W. Wilson Jr. on the television sitcom ‘Home Improvement’ from 1991 to 1999. Earl Hindman is also a voice actor, having appeared in Disneyland Railroad in 2002.

He is Eula and Burl Latney Hindman’s son. They were both employed in the oil pipeline industry. 

He grew up alongside his brother Ray and sister, Anna Dean Shields. 

He was an American citizen, but his ethnicity was unknown.

He was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2003 and died on December 29, 2003, in Stamford, Connecticut, where he was buried in Roxbury Cemetery.

In the 1974 thrillers ‘The Taking of Pelham One Two Three’ and ‘The Parallax View,’ Hindman played the villain. 

He appeared in the film ‘Who Killed Mary?’ What’s ‘Er Name? was released in 1971, followed by ‘Greased Lightning’ in 1977, ‘The Brink’s Job’ in 1978, ‘Taps’ in 1981, and ‘Silverado’ in 1985.

Earl appeared as Bob Reid in ‘Ryan’s Hope’ which was his most famous and durable role before ‘Home Improvement’. 

From 1975 through 1989, he appeared in 459 episodes.

From 2002 to 2016, he was the voice of the Disneyland Railroad, and from 2002 until late 2010, he was the voice of the Walt Disney World Railroad.
