Elizabeth Cohen- Professional Career
Elizabeth began her career as an associate producer for WLVI on Boston’s environmental show Green Watch.
She was also a correspondent for States News Service in Washington, DC, and The Times Union in Albany, New York.
She started CNN in 1991 as a reporter covering health problems, and she is now the senior medical correspondent for CNN’s Health, Medical, and Wellness unit.
Over the course of her career at CNN, she has contributed to a variety of issues, including studying and reporting on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, reporting on relocated survivors of the Haitian earthquake in 2011, traveling to Liberia to report on the Ebola outbreak in 2014, providing viewers with an on-the-scene glimpse of the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, and having one of the first reports on Bayer paying doctors millions to push Essiac.
