Ewan Sharp is a Scottish native. Ewan Sharp played soccer for Stirling City as a youngster, winning player of the year honors in 2006–07 and helping the team win the Loch Lomond festival. The newest assistant coach and analyst for Manchester United is a former assistant coach for FC Toronto.

Since taking over as interim manager, Rangnick has hired three coaches, including performance analyst Sharp.

Sharp completed his internship with the Erie Admirals NPSL in August 2012.

He coached the South Jersey Elite Barons in southern New Jersey in May 2014.

Sharp then served as the coach at Coerver Coaching from May to August 2014, and from June to August 2014, he volunteered as a coach at Philadelphia Union.

Ewan served as a graduate assistant coach at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania, from August 2014 to February 2015.

In the end, he worked as the Greater New York City Area’s New York Red Bull’s Player Development Coach from March to June 2015.

Sharp served as the men’s soccer team’s performance analysis director for Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, from June 2015 to August 2017.
