Sharp started his professional career in 2016 as a First Team Video Assistant for Major League Soccer team Chicago Fire.
After that, he spent four seasons as a performance analyst with the New York Red Bulls.
Sharp helped the coaching staff with match planning, in-game and post-match analysis, and in-game scouting.
He also assisted the scouting division in finding and recruiting fresh talent.
When Chris Armas, the current United coach, named him an assistant coach in February 2021, he had previously worked for Toronto FC.
Armas’ winning streak earlier this year was short-lived; he was fired in July after only two victories in 15 games.

Trainer Ewan Sharp
Pretending that there is a wealth of knowledge about Sharp in English football is pointless.
Even as recently as February 2015, he was still serving as a coach at Mercyhurst University.
The coach, on the other hand, has made quick progress and appears to be familiar with Rangnick’s strategies and preferred playing style.
Sharp needs to impart knowledge in a particular way because he is very knowledgeable and talented in the analytics field.
On the other hand, some fans may wonder if he is the right candidate for the job at Old Trafford given his resume.
After Solskjaer left, many supporters demanded a coaching change. As a result, three coaches have already left the team, and Sharp, Arnas, and Sascha Lense have taken their places.
Time will tell how Rangnick and his coaching staff impact the team, but Sharp seems to be on the cusp of a significant coaching position.
