Fred Coury – Professional Career

After seeing The Who and Heart perform at the CNE Stadium in Toronto, Coury decided to pursue a career as a drummer and began his professional career in the early 1980s.

He shot to fame in 1886 when he joined the band Cinderella as a drummer, percussionist, and backup vocalist. 

Subsequently, in 1991, he quit the band and returned from 1996 till 2017. 

He’d gone on international tours with the band.

He went on to join the supergroup Arcade with Stephen Pearcy, Frankie Wilsex, Donny Syracuse, and Michael Andrews. 

In 1993, the trio released its self-titled first album, which peaked at number five on the US Heatseekers Albums chart.

The band, however, disbanded in 1994. Later that year, in 2006, he joined the band Poison. 

He then began composing for television shows such as Gene Simmons: Family Jewels, The Night Shift, and LA Kings: Black & White. 

His music for The Night Shift proved to be a watershed moment in his career.

Aside from music, he has appeared in minor roles in short films such as I Am John 5, Cinderella: Hot and Bothered, and The Junkyard Willie Movie: Lost in Transport.

He was nominated for an ASCAP Award for The Wall in 2015 and 2016 and ASCAP Award for The Night Shift in 2019.
