She was reared with her sister Lori Talbott in an affluent American household. Lori, like her sister Gloria, made a name for herself as an actor.

While there is little information on Gloria’s upbringing, parents, and family, it is known that Gloria had an interest in theater performance when she was very young.

As a consequence of this overwhelming desire, she began her career as a child actor, making her first film appearance in a musical romantic drama picture, Maytime, in 1937, when she was only six years old.

Talbott had a good education, but the specifics of the schools she attended and the credentials she received remain unknown.

We do know that she took acting courses and that after finishing her studies, Talbott established a theater troupe with whom she performed arena-style performances at different event centers and bars throughout California.

Gloria Talbott started her acting career at the age of six, as previously reported. Maytime, her debut picture, was released in 1937.

Following that, she landed a part in the 1944 film Sweet and Low-down. She made her film debut three years later in A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

During the 1950s, the actress appeared in a number of films and television programs.

In 1952, she had uncredited roles in Desert Pursuit and We’re Not Married! Later, in 1955, she featured in Northern Patrol, Lucy Gallant, Crashout, All That Heaven Allows, and We’re No Angels.

In 1956, she played Nora Bawdre opposite Perry Lopez and Walter Coy in the American Western film The Young Guns.

Following her appearances in a number of horror films, the actress was nicknamed “Scream Queen.” Among these are The Cyclops and the Daughter of Dr. Jekyll (1957), I Married a Monster from Outer Space (1958), and The Leech Woman (1960).

Her last film appearance was as Bri Quince in the 1966 Western picture An Eye for an Eye.

During her active years, Gloria Talbott featured in a few films, although her television ventures outnumbered her cinema appearances.

Following that, the actress fell in love for the second time with Grover Sandy Sanders. After dating for a time, they married in 1956 and divorced nine years later in 1965. They had no children from their marriage.

Gloria’s third marriage attempt was with Dr. Steven J. Capabianco, and they were only together for two years (1967-1969). Following their divorce, she married another doctor, Patrick Mullally, in 1970.

Their marriage resulted in a daughter named Mea Mullally. It is important to note that her marriage to Patrick was the longest, lasting three decades until her untimely death.

On September 19, 2000, she died of renal failure at a hospital in Glendale, California. Her ashes were interred in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
