The National Football League has released free agent Henry Ruggs III. Henry Ruggs was a three-sport athlete in high school and went on to play collegiate football in Alabama. Ruggs was the quickest player at the 2020 NFL combine, and the Las Vegas Raiders selected him in the first round.

His younger brother, Kevontae Ruggs, played college football for Ole Miss until transferred to Eastern Mississippi Community College in 2019. Ruggs attended Robert E.

His alma mater was Robert E. Lee High School. Ruggs did not begin playing high school football until his junior year, and his first college offer came after only his second game.

As a senior, he had 38 catches for 639 yards and 20 total touchdowns in 9 games.

Among the 20 touchdowns were nine catches, seven rushes, three passes, and one kick return.

Ruggs also ran track in high school, breaking the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Class 7A record with a 10.58-second 100-meter sprint.

He was offered football scholarships from over 20 different schools, but he chose to attend the University of Alabama.

Ruggs made his NFL debut on September 13, 2020, against the Carolina Panthers, finishing with three receptions for 55 yards in a 34–30 victory.

Ruggs got 118 yards on two receptions against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5, including a 72-yard touchdown, his first NFL career touchdown, as the Raiders won 40–32.

In Week 13 against the New York Jets, he had three catches for 84 yards, including a 46-yard touchdown reception with 5 seconds left to help the Raiders win 31–28.

The squad placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list on December 15, 2020, and he was activated on December 24.

As a true freshman at Alabama in 2017, Ruggs has 12 receptions for 229 yards and six touchdowns.

As a sophomore in 2018, he has 46 receptions for 741 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Ruggs was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, making him the first wide receiver drafted.

Ruggs was the Raiders’ first draft pick after the franchise relocated from Oakland earlier in the 2020 offseason.

As the Raiders’ second consecutive first-round pick from the University of Alabama, he joins 2019 first-round running back Josh Jacobs.

The LVMPD responded to a traffic incident between a Chevrolet Corvette and a Toyota Rav4 near the intersection of South Rainbow Boulevard and South Spring Valley Parkway on November 2nd, 2021, at 3:39 a.m.

When first responders came, the Toyota was on fire, with a deceased victim inside.

According to preliminary investigations, the Chevrolet’s front end collided with the Toyota’s rear end.

Ruggs, the driver of the Chevrolet, remained at the scene and “exhibited signs of impairment.”

He was sent to UMCSN for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Ruggs is expected to face DUI causing death charges.
