Is Joe Pesci Really Sick? Update On Illness And Health

Joe Pesci

Joe Pesci, a well-known actor, and musician, will appear in Pete Davidson’s upcoming Peacock comedy Bupkis.  Joe Pesci is a semi-autobiographical series that will launch on Peackcock on May 4th. According to reports, the series heightened a dramatized version of Pete Davidson’s life.

The Peacock program has been compared to Lary David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Joe Pesci was cast in the role of Pete’s grandfather.

Joe made a comeback in 2019 with the film The Irishman.

Pesci’s supporters are anxious about his health because he hasn’t been in any projects in recent years.

Is Joe Pesci Really Sick? Update on Health

No. Joe Pesci isn’t ill. At the very least, there has been no official word on the 80-year-old’s health issue.

In addition, the gifted performer will play Pete Davidson’s granddad in the upcoming Peacock show Bupkis.

As a result, we assume Joe Pesci is not sick and is in good health.

Peacock released the first image of Pete Davidson and Joe Pesci from Bupkis in mid-October of last year.

The two stars are pictured sitting together on a yacht.

They are wearing sunglasses and gaze into the distance while Pesci holds an iPad.

According to E! News, this is the Academy Award-winning actor Pesci’s second television role.

Joe’s first television appearance was as Half Nelson in the 1985 series.

Furthermore, Davidson allegedly traveled to Los Angeles multiple times to meet the Goodfellas star and persuade him to accept the part.

Getting Joe Pesci, the notoriously reclusive and picky actor, to agree to perform in the show is obviously not simple.

Joe Pesci’s Illnesses And Health Issues

Although it is uncertain whether Joe Pesci is ill, the great actor has been injured multiple times during his long career.

Pesci suffered a cracked rib while co-starring in Martin Scorsese’s Raging Bull with Robert De Niro.

Pesci shattered the same rib on the set of another Scorsese film, Casino, over 15 years later.

Both films were critically acclaimed, and Pesci was nominated for an Academy Award for the former.

During an American Film Institute honors program in 1997, Joe Pesci remarked, “I’ve concluded that great movies mean cracked ribs.”

“With The Super and Jimmy Hollywood, I almost escaped unscathed,” the talented actor added.

Joe Pesci Suffered Serious Burns While Filming Home Alone 2

In-Home Alone 2, Joe Pesci played the role of Harry, a thief.

Harry escapes the jail with his companion Marv, intending to exact vengeance on the boy who sentenced the two to prison.

In one of the most memorable scenes, Harry flips a switch, setting off a booby trap that ignites his winter cap.

Harry spends the rest of the film with a partially charred hat and a fiery, hairless scalp.

Pesci later acknowledged to People that he received significant burns to the top of his head during the scene.

According to the same source, despite having stuntpeople for “the really heavy stunts,” the actor still had to deal with “bumps, bruises, and general pains.”

Pesci has never publicly stated how the burning hat joke impacted him.

However, it should be mentioned that Joe is not the only actor to be injured while filming, and he is not the only one to remain silent at first.
