McCall Vrydaghs is an award-winning WHIO-TV broadcast chief meteorologist. Since November 2018, Mccall Vrydaghs has served as the Chief Meteorologist at WHIO’s Storm Center 7, and she has been a member of WHIO since 2012. Her accomplishments include the American Meteorological Society’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal of Approval and her present position on the AMS Station Scientist committee.
Vrydaghs is also proud to have won first place in the Ohio Regional APME Awards for Best Weathercast and three Emmys in the Weather category.

“I’m not writing this to express sympathy, but to remind you to be kind.” Everyone is experiencing something. “And live your life to the fullest,” she added.

Mccall Vrydaghs relocated from New York to Ohio for employment
Vrydaghs, a native of New York, had no idea what she was getting herself into when she opted to pursue her career in southwest Ohio.
Soon after coming to Ohio, she realized the Dayton area’s specialization and stated that she couldn’t picture living anyplace else.
Vrydaghs earned a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from SUNY Oswego in 2005.
Soon after, she moved to Newburgh, New York, to work as a meteorologist for CNN Headline News Radio.
She made her television debut in 2011 as the weekend meteorologist for Verizon FiOS1 News.
Her predictions were broadcast in New Jersey and Long Island, New York.
She was also chosen to provide the weather for Yankees games on the YES Network.
Vrydaghs later joined Storm Center 7 in September 2012, and by November 2018, he had been appointed to Chief Meteorologist.
Over the years, she has worked on many types of weather phenomena, including ordinary weather, hurricanes, snowstorms, and tornadoes.
Vrydaghs recalls the 2019 Memorial Day Tornado Outbreak as her most unforgettable moment.
She assisted in the tracking of 15 tornadoes in the Miami Valley, including three EF3s and one EF4.
Vrydaghs learned a lot from her experience, including the fundamental importance of her profession – keeping the public safe.
