Nusret owns Nusr-Et, a network of upscale steakhouses frequented by celebrities. The chain has locations throughout Turkey, Greece, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Salt Bae is gaining popularity for both good and bad reasons.
He was recently chastised and fined for his obnoxious behavior on the field following Argentina’s World Cup victory.
He once dedicated a mosque in his Turkish homeland, implying that he may convert to Islam.
Nusret Gökçe was born in Erzurum, Anatolia, Turkey, in 1983 to a Kurdish family.
His father, Faik, was a miner, while his mother, Fatma, was a housewife.
Due to financial constraints, he dropped out of school in the sixth grade when he was around 11 years old.
He began his career as a butcher’s apprentice in Istanbul’s Kadköy district.
Nusret has been involved in humanitarian activity, such as the construction of a school in his hometown of Erzurum.
Between 2007 and 2010, he traveled to numerous countries, including the United States and Argentina, where he worked for free in local restaurants. He aspired to work as a chef and restaurateur.
Nurset returned to Turkey and built his first restaurant in Istanbul in 2010, followed by one in Dubai in 2014.

According to The Sun, the renowned restaurateur wants to keep his personal life out of the spotlight.
It is unknown if he has a wife, but he looks to be unmarried.

“I’m so focused on the meat that I can’t see a woman or anything,” he explained.
Nusret revealed that he gets up at 3 a.m. to go to meat markets and sleeps for only five hours.
“I don’t have any time for a girlfriend,” he said.
The same is true for his children. Fans of the chef are wondering if he has nine children.
They began to speculate after he shared a candid photo of himself with nine young children in September 2016.
The photo showed Salt Bae cuddling a newborn infant while nine other children surrounded him.
The chef captioned the image, “The man who did not spend time with his family was not a real man.”
