Deborah Norville served alongside Jane and Gumbel. From 1992 to 2003, she was a regular anchor on the network’s news magazine Dateline NBC, where she collaborated with Stone Phillips.

Jane left NBC completely in May 2003, after 27 years of service. She continued to appear on television on a sporadic basis for many years after that, but she struggled to find consistent long-term work.

By chance, she was given the opportunity to host her own talk show, “The Jane Show,” but it was canceled after only one season. Jane published her memoir “Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue” in 2004.

She revealed in the best-selling script that she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

She also stated that the disorder was caused by the medication she was given after being hospitalized for allergic reactions that became a problem.
