They claimed that when Jonathan witnessed a man hitting a woman at the gas station, he rushed to the woman’s defense and attempted to mediate their dispute.
When the conflict was nearly resolved, the police officers arrived.
Price attempted to explain the entire situation by raising his hands, but they did not pay attention, so Lucos fired Tasers at him.
When his body began to convulse from the electric current, he realized he was in danger and shot him, killing him.
This action was deemed “not objectionably responsible” by the Rangers.
Therefore, they arrested David on murder charges and placed him in Hunt County Jail before transferring him to Rockwall County Jail.
His bail was set at one million dollars.
After this incident, first responders rushed the local hero to Hunt Regional Hospital in the hope that he could be revived, but he could not be saved and passed away.
To combat this injustice, on February 5, 2020, attorney Merritt and his relatives gathered at the scene of the shooting and demanded that the Hunt County District Attorney issue an arrest warrant for the officer who shot Price.
