Josh Barro: Birth, Parents, & Education

On July 17, 1984, in the United States, Josh Barro was born Joshua A. Barro. While he was raised in Massachusetts, little is known about his family life.

Robert Barro, his father, was a well-known orthodox-conservative economist.

This would go on to shape his political ideology into becoming a Republican, but it would fail to sustain it as he soon found himself leaning as a Democrat following the Republican Party’s emergence as the front-runner in the 2016 US presidential election.

Josh Barro: Professional Career

Josh Barro began his career as a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. He also worked as a commercial real estate banker at Wells Fargo. He went on to work for Bloomberg L.P. and Business Insider before joining the New York Times.

In 2012, Barro was named one of the 30 Under 30. He rose to prominence in the media industry as one of the brightest in the aforementioned category.

He was only 28 years old at the time and worked as a Lead Writer for Bloomberg View, where he expressed his views on politics and economics.

He was named alongside Mashable CEO Pete Cashmore, CNBC Anchor Kelly Evans, and Daily Muse founder Kathryn Minshew.

He has appeared on numerous shows, including The Place for Politics 2016: MSNBC Overnight California Primary Coverage in 2016 and Weekend Today. From 2013 to 2015, he co-hosted The Cycle.

Josh Barro: Relationship Status

Josh Barro has not hidden the fact that he is gay. He stated that he had been openly gay since his high school days in a Boston suburb where there was little opposition to the lifestyle.

Following that, when he arrived at university, he stated that his sexual orientation was greatly encouraged, so he had no problems at all. Furthermore, it did not pose any difficulties for him as he advanced in his career.

The wedding took place at a private event in New York. In December 2003, the two men met at the Human Rights Campaign national dinner in Washington, DC.

Since then, the two have stayed together. In 2015, they announced their engagement.
