Relationship Status

Karen Fuller is a happily married 64-year-old woman.

Her husband’s identity, however, remains a mystery for the time being.

She seemed to prefer an out-of-the-closet married existence.

Meanwhile, on September 14, 2015, she announced Scott Sanborn, a fellow CBS2 co-news anchor, as her on-air TV husband in one of her Facebook posts.

Karen, on the other hand, is a devoted mother to two children, a 19-year-old son named Quinn Fuller and a 20-year-old daughter named Blaise Fuller.

With their two pet cats, the Fuller family currently resides in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Tracy Kornet, another news anchor, is married to Frank Kornet and they have a happy marriage.

Karen has reached a settlement with Meredith Corporation in her discrimination lawsuit.
Karen, a former KCTV news anchor, has settled her age and gender discrimination lawsuit against Meredith Corp., a media firm.

Her key decision to launch a case stems from the company’s “age ceiling” for female news anchors, but male news presenters are not restricted by age.

Fuller’s contract with the KCTV news team was repeatedly not renewed, and she was eventually fired because she was “too elderly and unattractive.”

Meredith was forced to leave her NBC News-affiliated TV station in 2015 after ten years of service. She was 58 years old when she quit the news station.

Karen raised her voice during this period by bringing a discrimination action in federal court in Kansas City, Kansas in late 2015.

In her case, she stated that the maximum age for a woman to work as a news anchor is 40 years old, but a man can work up to 51 years old.

Fuller’s news anchoring, according to Meredith corporate attorneys, was not up to par.

Furthermore, her contract with the KCTV station was repeatedly renewed, despite her performance is less than stellar.

Despite this, US District Judge John Lungstrum discovered evidence that the KCTV station was looking for a young anchor to fill Fuller’s job.

Karen’s lawsuit was eventually considered by the court due to a sufficient source of evidence.

Despite the fact that the contents of the settlement were kept secret, both sides agreed to calm down and not to discuss it publicly.

Professional Career

Karen Fuller began her journalism career as an intern at WHO-TV in Des Moines after graduating from Drake University.

She has won two Emmy Awards. Later, she worked as a morning and lunchtime anchor for KIMT-TV in Mason City.

She also spent nearly a decade as a member of the KCTV news staff.

However, she was fired without cause by Kansas City TV in February 2015, forcing her to depart the station.

Since September 2015, Fuller has been co-hosting a news program on CBS 2 and FOX 8 in Cedar Rapids with fellow news anchor Scott Sanborn.

Becky Lutgen Gardner, the channel’s news director, says she became an indispensable part of the newscast.

Karen said that the degree of talent on CBS 2 and FOX 8 at KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, had impressed her.
