Kelley began his career in the petroleum refining industry as a fire watcher at the bottom of the ladder.
The job involved hours of sitting and keeping an eye out for potential flames while welding, which was extremely unsatisfying.
Kelley worked his way up the corporate ladder over the next ten years because he was dedicated to achieving joy and success in his profession.
Despite his success on the track, Kye was always drawn back to the streets, where he frequently linked up with pals to compete in grudge races.
He eventually went to the top of the corporation, becoming Superintendent and supervising 250 additional people.
When “Street Outlaws” star Justin Shearer visited Da Pad in search of the best racer in the area, he was instantly directed to Kye, and Kelley’s life changed forever.
When Justin Shearer hired him, he gave him the opportunity to race the show’s headliner, Daddy Dave, on his home turf.
Kye’s appearance was a great success because he eventually defeated Daddy Dave and several other cast members to take home the $16,000 grand prize.
This resulted in a streak of triumphs, including one at Da Pad for $6,000 and another in Oklahoma City for another $16,000.
