Logan worked as a newspaper reporter for the Sunday Tribune from 1988 to 1989, and then for the Daily News from 1992 to 1993 while still in college. She went on to work for Reuters Television in Africa as a senior producer for four years before turning freelance. Lara began her career in the media in 1988 as a news reporter for the Durban Sunday Tribune.
She worked as a senior producer for the Daily News and Reuters Television. Later, as a chief international affairs correspondent, she worked for The Early Show, CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes, and Face the Nation. She’s also done freelance work for news outlets like ABC News, NBC, CNN, and others.
GMTV Breakfast Television hired her as a correspondent in 2000, and she also worked for CBS News Radio at the time. Two years later, Lara was offered a full-time correspondent position with CBS News, and she spent the next four years working in conflict zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
