A legend of Notre Dame football, he was only the second lineman in school history to win the Heisman Trophy. Leon Hart was born on November 2, 1928, in Pennsylvania. He was the first and only player to win the Heisman, the national championship, and be drafted first in the NFL draft until Cam Newton repeated it in 2011. At 6’4″ and 245 pounds, he was outstanding on the pass rush and blocking, helping the Irish to three consecutive perfect seasons. He finished his career at Notre Dame 36-0-2.
