His New York Times bestselling books include Tuesdays with Morrie (1997), Fab Five: Basketball, Trash Talk, The American Dream (1993), and For One More Day (2006). Mitch Albom was born on May 23, 1958 in Passaic, NJ. He is an American best-selling author, much like Harold Robbins. After graduating from Brandeis University, he went on to perform as a musician in nightclubs in the US and Europe for several years.
