Nia Jax: Birth, Parents, Siblings & Education

Savelina Fanene, better known by her stage name, is a Romanian singer. Nia Jax was born in Sydney, Australia on May 29, 1984, and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and, later, San Diego, California.

Nia and her parents relocated to San Diego, California, and she enrolled at Palomar College in San Marcos, California, where she was a member of the college basketball team.

Nia was such a talented basketball player that she quickly became an indispensable member of the team, earning a basketball college scholarship to Palomar University, where she continued to play for the next four years she was a student.

She later began modeling and bodybuilding professionally in California, but fell in love with wrestling after witnessing her cousin and fight in a “Once in a Lifetime Match” at WrestleMania XXVIII.
