He had traveled to Jakarta on vacation with his Brazilian wife, four-year-old daughter, and another unnamed woman.
His family contacted the police after being unable to reach him on his cell phone for several days.
Subasinghe’s room was locked from the inside,
and no one responded when the apartment owner attempted to reach him.
The owner phoned the cops, who forced open the door to discover Mr. Subasinghe lying dead inside.
Subasinghe’s wife, daughter, and the other woman have yet to be discovered.
A CCTV camera saw them leaving the apartment room a few days earlier with a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door.
They were last seen departing Indonesia for Doha. They have not yet been contacted.
