Paolo Banchero- Professional Career
Banchero began his career by becoming a member of the Rotary Boys & Girls Club of Seattle. He was a basketball and football player at O’Dea High School. On the football field, he was the backup quarterback for the state championship squad. In his rookie year, he had a 14.1 point and 10.2 rebound average.
It was 18.2 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in his sophomore season. He was the Class 3A State Champion for O’Dea. In addition, he was awarded the most valuable player.
He averaged 22.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game as a junior. Banchero also won the Washington Gatorade Players of the Year award, as well as the MaxPreps National Junior of the Year award. Daryll Hennings was his coach. Paolo, he claims, is the most humble player on the team.
Banchero was a unanimous five-star recruit and one of the best players in the class of 2021. Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky were among the top NCAA Division I programs that offered him scholarships. They were even prepared to provide him with a scholarship.
Banchero committed to Duke on August 20, 2020, despite all odds. On the football field, Banchero also plays quarterback and free safety. In 2014, he led FBU Seattle to third place at FBC.
Later in 2015, he moved up to the second place. In the 2017 FBU 8th grade All-American game, he also scored three touchdowns and demonstrated his passing ability. On the 10th of November 2021, he led his team to victory in the season opener against Kentucky University, as per his reputation.
