After landing a few key roles in films and television shows, Peter launched a successful career with “SNL” in 1979. In the sixth season, he joined SNL.
In 1980, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for outstanding writing for a music program, and he and his crew were nominated.
He’d directed a number of films, some of which included spies like us, coneheads, and others. Between 1975 and 2013, Peter’s older brother Dan appeared on SNL in a number of roles.
