Phill Lewis was sentenced to a year in prison in January 1993 after being convicted of manslaughter for killing a woman while driving drunk. His victim was a 21-year-old Portuguese nanny.

He was also sentenced to one year in prison for drunk driving, as well as two years of probation and 350 hours of community service.
