Qasem Soliemani died

The third of January 2020 could be a watershed moment for the entire world, as it could spark World War III.

Major General Qasem of Iran was assassinated around 1:00 a.m. local time (22:00 a.m. UTC on January 2nd).

He was killed when an American drone launched missiles at his convoy near Baghdad International Airport.

The missiles were launched shortly after he stepped off his plane, which had arrived in Iraq from Lebanon, and the incident took place.

A missile also killed four other persons, including Iraqi-Iranian military chief Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

The body was identified as Qasim’s by the red ring on his finger.

Furthermore, the information was confirmed by the US Department of Defense. The strike was carried out on President Trump’s orders.

They further stated that Qasem was planning other attacks on American officials.

Tens of thousands of protesters came to the streets to mourn the widespread burning of American and British flags, screaming “death to America.”

Trump responded to the strike by tweeting:

‘Iran is openly discussing targeting specific US assets in retaliation for our killing of their terrorist leader, who had just killed an American and injured many more, not to mention the hundreds of others he had killed over his lifetime, including recently…hundreds of Iranian protesters,’ the statement reads.

‘He had already attacked our embassy and was planning other strikes in other regions.’ Iran has been nothing but a source of problems for many years.

‘Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran hits any Americans or American assets, we have…..targeted 52 Iranian sites, some at a very high level and significant to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, as well as Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND HARD.’

‘There will be no more threats to the United States of America!’

Death and Funeral

His burial, held on January 4th in Baghdad, was attended by hundreds of Iraqis, mourners, and militia flags. The burial procession began at Baghdad’s AI-Kadhimiya Mosque.

The funeral procession included Iraq’s Prime Minister, Adil Abdul-Mahdi, and other commanders of Iran-backed militias.

When he died, his body was taken to the hallowed Shia cities of Karbala and Najaf.
