His family members verified the tragic news, writing, “Son, husband, father, brother, and uncle, Riky ‘Ricky’ Makhado (34) sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (23rd February) in Johannesburg.”

After Ricky’s death, his fans are now praying to God for his soul to rest in peace. He tweeted shortly before his death that

Fans of Riky have been led to assume that he committed suicide owing to his depression after tweeting this comment just a few hours before his death.

He was depressed after his father’s death and was dependent on medications.

However, it has not been officially proven what caused his death.
