Rob Schneider- Professional Career

Rob began his career while still in high school, when his elder brother, who was a talent agent and manager at the time, landed him a position as the opening act for the rock band Head On. He began to make a reputation for himself by performing in Bay Area nightclubs such as The Other Café and Holy City Zoo.

After serving as the opening act for Dennis Miller, who then requested him to appear at the event, which was hosted by Miller himself, Rob became a regular on local radio programs and received the chance to play at HBO’s 13th Annual Young Comedians special in 1987.

Rob joined “SNL” shortly after this breakthrough performance; he was employed as a writer at first, but after two years, he began acting in sketches and eventually became a full-time cast member.

He stayed on “SNL” until 1994, during which time he created a number of recurrent characters and became noted for his celebrity impersonations. His most memorable recurring role was The Richmeister, an office worker who annoys his coworkers by giving them nicknames.

Rob formed strong friendships with Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Chris Rock, and David Spade during his stint on “SNL,” and the group became known as “The Bad Boys of SNL.”

In 1995, he played Fergie in the sci-fi action thriller “Judge Dredd,” which also starred Sylvester Stallone and Armand Assante. The next year, Rob landed the lead part in the TV comedy series “Man Behaving Badly” (1996-1997), as well as starring alongside Kelsey Grammer and Lauren Holly in the comedy film “Down Periscope.” He received his first major role as the title character in the comedy film “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” before the end of the 1990s.

Rob began the new millennium with the lead part in the science fiction comedy picture “The Animal,” which earned mostly unfavorable reviews and marked the start of Rob’s slide as an actor. He continued to make bad films, such as “The Hot Chick” (2002), but in 2004, he co-starred with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in the award-winning picture “50 First Dates.”

The sequel to “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo,” “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo,” was released in 2005, but the film was a failure, and Rob got a Razzie Award for Worst Actor. With the lead role in the comedy film “Big Stan” in 2007, and a supporting role in the comedy “You Don’t Mess with Zohan,” starring Adam Sandler, he attempted to revive his career, but with little success.

Rob has frequently expressed his opposition to childhood vaccination, making him one of the numerous people who believe that vaccinations cause autism, despite scientific evidence to the contrary. He backed two California legislation on the subject, but his efforts were unsuccessful, and children in California are still required to receive vaccinations.
