Their relationship blossomed on the spot, and the couple married in 1974, staying together until Charles’ death in 2018, and had a son called Daniel, who is now an economist.

Robyn Krauthammer relocated to Paris, France, after finishing her studies, and began working for an international law firm. However, she only stayed for two years before returning to the United States, where she recognized that art was her true calling and began painting and sculpting.

Robyn has established herself as a successful artist throughout the years, and one of her paintings is now on display at the Washington Foxhall Gallery.

Prior to entering politics, Charles worked for the Carter administration as a director of mental research before becoming the speechwriter for US Vice President Walter Mondale.

He would subsequently go on to work at The New Republic as a journalist and political analyst, gradually rising through the ranks. He joined The Washington Post in 1985 and quickly rose through the ranks to become a nationally syndicated columnist. Charles’ column was syndicated to over 400 magazines across the world at the height of his career, and he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize in 1987.
