Hurwitz began her career in 1998 as an intern in Vice President Al Gore’s office. 

For eight years, she was President Obama’s Senior Speechwriter. She is currently Michelle Obama’s Chief Speechwriter. 

She previously served as Chief Speechwriter for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2008.

Sarah worked on the General West Clark and Senator John Kerry campaigns in 2003 and 2004.
