While both of his parents were attending college in Idaho, he was born to Atz Kilcher, a television host and musician, and Lenedra J. Carroll, a well-known singer, and author. After that, the family relocated to Alaska’s tundra, where he was nurtured with his brothers, including the famed singer Jewel, Atz Lee Kilcher, and Nikos Kilcher’s half-brother.

During his time there, he joined the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves volleyball team and played in multiple tournaments with them.
