He is best known for his roles in The Death of Stalin (2017), Big Fish (2003), Con Air (1997), Desperado (1995), and Reservoir Dog (1995). He has appeared in six films with the Coen Brothers, including Paris, je t’aime (2006), The Big Lebowski (1998), The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), Barton Fink (1991), and Miller’s Crossing (1991).

From 2010 to 2014, he starred as Enoch “Nucky” Thompson in the HBO television series Boardwalk Empire, which he co-created with Terence Winter. He recalled the pain she was experiencing at the end of the disease, and he expressed his feelings about cleaning their house in Brooklyn, where the couple had lived together for many years but now feels too large to live alone. In 1987, Buscemi married Andres.

In 2015, his wife, Andres, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Cancer returned in 2017 while she was undergoing various stages of chemotherapy, and it was difficult to see her wife in this state.

She passed away in January 2019. He stated that the hardest thing was the pain, and that the person who is in such pain is painful. It’s heartbreaking to see people die from cancer when there’s no cure.
