Sylvia Chase had a married life. In her college days, she exchanged vows with her boyfriend-turned-husband, Robert Rosenstone.

Her husband was a journalism graduate student who later became a history professor at the California Institute of Technology.

Following graduation, the couple relocated to Wisconsin. She later returned after they separated two years later, and they divorced.

The couple had no children from their partnership. After a failed marriage, she met her soulmate, Stanhie Gould.

They began dating after meeting at CBS, where she had won an Emmy for a report on cars with bursting gasoline tanks.

Sylvia passed away on the 3rd of January 2019, at the age of 80. She died as a result of brain cancer therapy.

She worked as a correspondent for 20/20 from 1978 to 1985, and she was named the finest investigative reporter for US TV news magazines.

She retired from her profession in the mid-2000s after leaving PBS.

She got two Emmy Prizes, the 1983 Pinnacle Award in Television News, as well as DuPont-Columbia and Washington Press Club awards during that time period.
